I am glad to be part of a team that puts in the time and effort to teach me the skills I need to be successful. As a new phlebotomist at a primary care start up, I am learning more each day than I previously thought possible. I have become involved in all clinic operations and am even getting administrative experience. This has allowed me to be well rounded and knowledgeable in all aspects of the clinic. It is a fascinating and rewarding experience learning how to navigate a patient throughout their complete visit in an organized and efficient manner.

Patients can expect to feel supported with their health at Merlin DPC seeing that patient centered care is a core value. It all begins the moment the patients walk through the door and are greeted warmly with a smile. Everyone deserves to be cared for and nurtured when they come in for a checkup, they are feeling sick, and everything in between. I can make a positive impact on people’s lives by prioritizing holistic patient centered care. Holding a tearful patient’s hand when they’re feeling unwell is just as important as sending a prescription.

I enjoy creating patient interactions where they feel comfortable and respected. Being an active listener is an important part of my job. It’s important to be empathetic and understanding of patients’ concerns. A tired parent coming in with their children may need a few extra minutes to get settled before beginning their appointment. Patients deserve to be given the proper time to be heard. To achieve this, Melin DPC schedules longer appointment times which is the reason why I wanted to be a part of this clinic.

Merlin Direct Primary Care strives to put its patients first. We are committed to tending to patients’ needs by triaging office operations to ensure timely access to their physician. Their health care is valued so that patients truly feel like they are heard and cared for. The doctor puts an emphasis on personalized care towards all the patients by taking the time to acknowledge their concerns.
