My name is Adriana Garcia. I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and moved to San Antonio at the age of eight. I attended schools within the Harlandale ISD district before beginning my career in the medical field. Later, I transitioned into dentistry, where I worked for eight years.
When I decided to return to healthcare in the medical field, I was given the opportunity to join Merlin Direct Primary Care. After learning about the practice and its mission, I immediately knew it was a place where I wanted to build my career. I was inspired by the commitment to personalized, patient-centered primary care and the meaningful relationships built with patients and their families.
What stood out to me most was the emphasis on quality care, not only from Dr. Ramón Diez-Barroso but throughout the entire team. At Merlin Direct Primary Care, patients are treated with compassion, respect, and the time they deserve. From infants and children to adults and seniors, every patient receives individualized care without feeling rushed.
One of the things I appreciate most about working at Merlin Direct Primary Care is that we make healthcare more accessible, convenient, and personal for families throughout San Antonio. Whether patients need preventive care, chronic disease management, same-day appointments, or guidance navigating their healthcare needs, our goal is to provide comprehensive primary care in one welcoming clinic.
Every member of our team is committed to going above and beyond for our patients. Even when we don’t have an immediate answer, we work together to help patients find the resources, education, and support they need. Dr. Diez-Barroso is dedicated to ensuring every patient receives thoughtful, high-quality care focused on improving their long-term health and well-being.
Being part of the Merlin Direct Primary Care team has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. I have been encouraged to continue learning, expand my skills, and witness firsthand the positive impact that compassionate healthcare can have on people’s lives. This experience has strengthened my belief that there are still dedicated healthcare professionals and strong physician leaders who truly put patients first.
